The Solidarity Coalition is a collaboration between nearly 2 dozen disaster health care NonGovernmental Organizations (NGOs), along with numerous individual health care practitioners, currently providing life-saving mental health and medical services to victims of war, violence, and displacement in Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria.
The initiative grew out of two invitation-only working conferences held in May and July 2025, exclusively for representatives of international and local NGOs, as well as health care practitioners wishing to volunteer their time and skills, to explore the needs, benefits, and practical framework for shared support and coordination of humanitarian efforts in the region.
Rather than operating as a separate program or entity, the Solidarity Coalition is a peer-driven initiative committed to mutually supporting and benefiting each NGOs mission, success, and viability in meeting the immense humanitarian needs of the region
It’s purpose is to cooperate closely on coordinating and bolstering existing services among member NGOs, and developing additional trauma-informed and culturally-informed services, to provide more comprehensive, immediate and long-term health care that reaches more people in need, faster, and more sustainably.
